By default customer data is stored and processed in Microsoft Azure regions in the United States. Language model inference runs in Azure regions in the United States.
Enterprise customers can choose European Union hosting, in which case storage, processing and model inference run in Azure regions in the EU and data does not leave the EU except at the customer's instruction, for example a connector to a system the customer hosts elsewhere.
